The public is encouraged to attend one or both meetings to share thoughts and ideas on outdoor activities and recreational features of the proposed concept, which includes approximately ten acres of open space along with bicycle and pedestrian paths.

  • Wednesday, Nov. 1, 6:30 pm at the Marina Community Center (15301 Wicks Blvd.)

  • Tuesday, Dec. 5, 6:30pm at Garfield Elementary School (1350 Aurora Dr.)

The Monarch Bay Shoreline Development Project is a public/private partnership, between the City of San Leandro and Cal Coast Companies, LLC. The project is a comprehensive master plan for the northern portion of the San Leandro shoreline. The development plan includes a hotel, restaurants, housing, parking structure, and other community amenities. The vision is for the development to provide complimentary amenities to the citizens of San Leandro and create a regional destination that connects the community with the Bay and enhances recreational and commercial activities.
