The January 12th meeting will include a combination of “Town Hall” style discussions in which all attendees will be able to participate, along with roundtable discussions on specific topics. Participants will learn more about the latest plans and will be invited to help shape discussions on San Leandro’s quality of life, transportation systems, economic development, and natural environment. Proposed policies also will address important issues such as climate change, traffic and parking, and the future of the City’s Downtown and BART station areas.
City staff and the planning team will recap public input received to date, identify proposed policies, and ask for feedback before finalizing the Plan. To date, the City has conducted over 60 meetings as part of the General Plan Update, including meetings with neighborhood associations and interest groups across the City and briefings to all City Commissions.
