Free Educational Seminar for First Time Homebuyers on November 3
The City of San Leandro is sponsoring an upcoming free homebuyer education seminar for the general public on Saturday, November 3.
The recent elimination of Redevelopment Agencies in California has taken a toll on home ownership programs throughout the Bay Area. In spite of funding reductions, the City has made it a point to continue providing assistance to first time homebuyers.
Topics covered at the seminar will include:
- Preparing to become a homeowner
- The process of purchasing and financing a home
- Programs, resources, and services available to assist first time homebuyers
- Helpful purchase strategies for buying in today's market
The ability to combine these resources and services can provide a first time homebuyer an important edge to enter into the highly complex housing market.
Reservations are required and can be made at http://www.myhomegateway.com/
. For more information about the seminar, please call (888) 572-1222 x102.
First time homebuyer education and counseling is provided through the Bay Area HomeBuyer Agency (BAHBA) - a regional non-profit joint powers authority that has been contracted by the City to administer its homebuyer programs.
