SAN LEANDRO, CA: Mayor Pauline Russo Cutter and the San Leandro City Council invite the community to San Leandro’s 21st annual Cinco de Mayo Celebration, which will take place on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Marina Community Center, 15301 Wicks Boulevard. The fiesta promises to be a fun celebration of Mexico’s culture and traditions.

The event is free and open to the public. Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican Army's victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862.
The highly popular event will feature mariachi music and theatrical performances which will be performed by the Ballet Folklorico de Carlos Moreno. Children will also have the opportunity to make traditional Mexican arts and crafts. Spanish translation, and an ASL sign language interpreter will be available. Light refreshments will be served.
This event is made possible by the City of San Leandro and donations from several local businesses and individuals, including: The Optimist Club of San Leandro, Ballet de Carlos Moreno, Mariachi Mexicanisimo, Los Pericos, and Guadalajara Bakery.
