San Leandro Main Library and Alameda County Fire Department Offers Personal Emergency Preparedness Training and Movie Night

SAN LEANDRO, CA: The San Leandro Main Library and the Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD) invites the community to attend a Personal Emergency Preparedness (PEP) Disaster Training at the San Leandro Main Library located at 300 Estudillo Avenue. The PEP training will take place on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Library’s Movie Night screening of the film “World War Z” from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

PEP Training helps individuals and families prepare themselves for a disaster by minimizing potential dangers in the home. Individuals and families who would like to be better prepared in the event of an emergency should attend. Please visit ACFD to register at www.acfdcert.eventbrite.com. Immediately after the disaster training, the Library will host a Movie Night featuring “World War Z” (2013, Rated PG-13, 123 minutes) film screening. This film screening includes light refreshments for attendees. The Library offers this free Movie Night in conjunction with the annual all-ages Summer Reading Challenge, “It’s Showtime At Your Library!” The entire community is invited to read, participate in fun community activities, and earn prizes in this engaging free program, which runs from June 1, 2019 through August 2, 2019.
